The sign for CROCHET is made with both hands. One hand is held stationary in a vertical position so that the fingertips point upwards with the hand in the shape of 5 with the palm facing the other hand. This hand takes the shape of X with the palm facing downwards whilst the index finger is curved. The back of the curved index finger touches the middle finger of the stationary hand, then turns back so that the palm faces inwards, turns again to touch the middle of the palm of the stationary hand, then turns back slightly so the palm faces inwards and repeats this last movement.
